The Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to announce that five promising youngsters have signed Modern Apprenticeships with the Club.
Innes Cameron, Aidan Wilson, Curtis Lyle, Ewan McLevy and Oliver McDonald will continue their development by signing a two-year full time apprenticeship.
The Modern Apprenticeship scheme is an excellent vehicle for young footballers to develop their skills and ultimately progress to first team football.
Kilmarnock FC has been affiliated with the Modern Apprenticeship scheme for 20 years and was one of the first Clubs to be involved in the initiative.
Innes (16), who was ever-present in the 2016/17 Development squad, made his debut for the first team against St Johnstone in December 2016. The forward also made his debut for Scotland U17s at the UEFA European Under-17 Championships in Croatia.
Aidan (18), Curtis, Ewan and Oliver (all 17) were also heavily involved in last season's Development squad and will continue to progress under the watchful eye of new U20 Manager, Andy Millen.
Academy Director, Paul McDonald, said: "I'm delighted that the boys have signed their Modern Apprenticeships. Hopefully they can see the success of past apprentices shine for the first team and that can give them a good aim. The key for this Club is to provide a pathway from academy to first team and that's what the Manager wants to build his ethos on".
Everyone at Kilmarnock FC would like to wish Innes, Aidan, Curtis, Ewan and Oliver the best of luck with their apprenticeships.
