Stuart Findlay is thrilled with the feelgood factor around Rugby Park right now, describing the optimism around the club and the town as "outrageous".
The defender signed a three-year deal with Killie this summer after impressing during his second loan spell with the club.
Now he's raring to get going as we kick off the season against St Mirren in the Betfred Cup.
He said: "Everyone wants to pick up where we left off last season.
"Sometimes fans go into a new season not knowing what it is going to bring but it has been outrageous how much optimism has been around the full camp and town as well.
"Towards the end of last season you saw the numbers we were getting at games. The atmosphere against Aberdeen in the cup was potentially one of the best I've ever played in.
"Even silly things like the buzz on social media when I signed, I've never experienced that before. The fans know we did something really good last season and they're all ready to get behind us."
Findlay also discussed the squad's trust in Steve Clarke, the benefits of starting the season with competitive matches as well as a look at our opponents St Mirren.
