Scottish FA Youth Cup | Camelon Juniors 2 - 12 Kilmarnock U18s

On Saturday the U18s progressed to the 4th Round of the SFA Youth Cup after an emphatic performance against Camelon Juniors at Carmuirs Park.

Kilmarnock started the game quickly and went 2-0 up within 5 minutes, which was a sign of things to come. Before the half was up Kilmarnock made it 8-0, from the kick off Camelon went directly up the park and the teams went in at the break with the score 8-1 to Kilmarnock.

The second half got underway and Kilmarnock started where they left off and scored a quick fire 4 goals to make the game 12-1. Camelon same as the first half from the kick off went straight on the attack to make the game 12-2. Kilmarnock finished the game with 10 players as Ryan McDowall was carried off with an injury.

U18s Head Coach, Craig Clark commented “I’m very pleased with the individual and collective performance over the 90 minutes. Some of the the phases of play were excellent. Also, special mention to the 7 U16s that played up in the match who are a credit to themselves and the Academy.”

Killie will play Dundee Utd at home in the next round of the competition.
