KILMARNOCK 4 v ROSS COUNTY 1
Before this match County sat second in the Development League, but they had no answer to Killie's superior finishing on a cold afternoon at Rugby Park. The result was all the more remarkable as Killie scored twice after being reduced to ten men. It was 16 year old striker Innes Cameron who opened the scoring in the 31st minute, hitting home the rebound after Lewis Morrison's shot had been well saved. Six minutes later a free kick found Flo Bojaj, but his effort was saved, only for Callum McFadzean to score with a header from close range.
County pulled a goal back just before half time thanks to a glancing header from Greg Morrison.
Things looked ominous when Martin Smith was shown a second yellow card in the 75th minute, but the ten men rallied. Innes Cameron made it 3-1 in the 79th minute with outrageous solo goal, running along the bye line from the corner flag and beating two defenders before slipping the ball past Foden in the County goal.
With five minutes left substitute Jack Whittaker completed the scoring, cutting from the left and sending the ball beneath Foden for another fine finish.
