The Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Alan Power on a two year contract.
The midfielder, 29, spent the last six years at newly-appointed EFL League Two side, Lincoln City.
Alan started his senior career at Nottingham Forrest, before having spells at Grays Athletic (loan), Hartlepool United and Rushden & Diamonds.
The Irishman was a key player for Lincoln during last season’s FA Cup campaign, as they made it all the way to the quarter-finals, where they faced Arsenal.
Alan has been capped at U17, U18, U19 and U21 levels for the Republic of Ireland.
After joining the Club, a delighted Alan said: “It’s great to be here and to be given the opportunity to play in the Ladbrokes Premiership with Kilmarnock. I’ve heard a lot about the town and the Club’s history and I can’t wait to get started. The Manager spoke about his visions for this Club and it was an easy decision to make”.
Manager, Lee McCulloch, added: “I watched Lincoln's fantastic run in the FA Cup, where they defeated some big sides before reaching the quarter-finals. Alan played in all of those games and was the Club captain. He has an aggressive style of play, has a hunger to get better, and has great experience that he can pass on to the younger kids”.
Kilmarnock FC welcome Alan to the Club and wish him every success for the upcoming season.
