The Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Calum Waters on a two-year contract.
Calum started his youth career at Celtic, before having a loan spell at Dumbarton in July 2015.
The 21-year-old defender left the Glasgow side in May 2016 to join Alloa Athletic, where he made 36 appearances for ‘The Wasps’.
Manager, Lee McCulloch, said: “Calum fits in perfectly with the philosophy of the Club. He had a great season with Alloa last season and made the team of the year. In my opinion, Calum was the best left back in the country last season, outwith the top league. I am more than confident that Calum will step up and do well in the Ladbrokes Premiership. Calum’s a level headed boy that wants to improve every day. And we are delighted to have him here”.
Calum added: ”I’m really happy to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’m a player that will give it my all and fight for every ball. I would like to gain more experience and I feel I am more than capable to make the step up to the top league.”
Everyone at Kilmarnock FC welcomes Calum to Rugby Park and wishes him every success for the upcoming season.
