First-half goals from Craig Curran and Kenny van der Weg saw Killie slump to a 2-0 defeat to Ross County.
Curran headed home from David Keillor-Dunn's cross to leave Jamie MacDonald with no chance after 34 minutes.
The hosts had made one change to the team which drew with Dundee with Dom Thomas coming in for Rory McKenzie.
Thomas tried to create an instant equaliser but Lee Erwin was unable to get on the end of his cross.
County doubled their advantage when van der Weg capitalised on slack marking to lift the ball over the onrushing Jamie MacDonald.
Kris Boyd was introduced for the second period but despite getting on the end of a few chances, he was unable to help Killie back into the match.
New Staggies boss Owen Coyle was able to watch on as his side comfortably saw out the rest of the match.
