New Killie boss aims to implement change in stages

Steve Clarke plans has vowed not to rush into too many changes as he prepares for his debut as Kilmarnock manager.

Killie head to Ibrox to face Rangers on the back of our 2-0 triumph against Partick Thistle last time out.

After enjoying some extra time getting to know his new players, Clarke says he will take time to implement his methods with the squad.

He said: "The boys are desperate to play. They won their last game, the first win of the season so they are obviously feeling quite good about themselves and want to get back out there and play again

"On the other side I've probably had a few extra training sessions with them so I can start to impose little ideas.

"I have not been overloading them with information. There's a lot to take in and there's a lot that you want to change but you have to do it slowly.

"We've worked well this week and we're hopefully moving in the right direction now."
