Dundee 0-0 Kilmarnock: Killie held at Dens Park

in Match Reports November 18, 2017

Killie extended our unbeaten away record under Steve Clarke but were left frustrated by a late save and the crossbar as we drew 0-0 with Dundee.

Substitutes Lee Erwin and Eamonn Brophy came closest to giving the men from Ayrshire all three points as the visitors pushed for that vital goal.

Erwin was denied by Dundee goalkeeper Elliot Parish when he was played through by Jordan Jones while Brophy saw his injury-time header crash off the bar.

Steve Clarke kept faith with the starting XI, who beat Hearts last time out before the international break. Both teams took time to get into their stride in the first half.

Dundee skipper Darren O'Dea was sent off with five minutes to go after picking up a second yellow after taking out Rory McKenzie just outside the box.

Killie made a late rally to punish the home side but now the men in blue and white will now turn our attention to next weekend's game against Aberdeen.

Kilmarnock: MacDonald; O'Donnell, Greer, Broadfoot, Findlay; Power, Taylor, McKenzie, Burke (Brophy), Jones, Boyd (Erwin)
