Update for supporters | Aberdeen v Kilmarnock

in Club News March 2, 2018

Over the past 48 hours additional efforts have been made to prepare the stadium and surrounding areas for Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup Quarter Final with Aberdeen at Pittodrie and as a result the pitch is in a playable condition.

During this time Kilmarnock FC, Aberdeen FC and the Scottish FA have continuously monitored the adverse weather conditions which have affected most of the country this week and the forecast ahead of the weekend’s match.

After further discussions this morning which took into account: the readiness of the pitch, condition of the stadium interior, surrounding areas and the latest information available from Police Scotland and Transport Scotland regarding weather and travel conditions, both clubs have agreed to progress with the match as planned.

Given the recent winter weather we would advise all supporters to allow extra time to plan and carry out your journey to Aberdeen. Please take care on the roads and on foot in the areas around the stadium.

Aberdeen have informed us that they have experienced some water issues in the South Stand however please be assured that supporters in the away section of the South Stand will be unaffected.

The safety of all supporters is of paramount importance and we look forward to seeing a strong and vocal Killie support arriving safely at Pittodrie.

Tickets for tomorrow's match can be purchased from The Killie Shop until 5pm tonight and The Killie Zone until 5.30pm.

The Killie Shop will be open at 8am on Saturday to sell tickets.
