PLAYER PROFILE

The 33-year-old started his career at Rangers, where he was a product of the youth system at Murray Park. During his time at Ibrox, Chris won the 2004/05 Scottish Premiership title, the 2007/08 Scottish League Cup and gained invaluable experience playing in the Champions League.

The winger moved to Cardiff City in early 2009, making 102 appearances with the Welsh side. Burke left the Cardiff City Stadium in May 2011, before signing a pre-contract agreement with fellow Championship side, Birmingham City. The Scotland international made 131 appearances for the ‘Blues’ before leaving St Andrew’s to join Championship side Nottingham Forrest in 2014 on a two-year deal. During his time at ‘Forrest’, Chris spent the second half of the 2015/16 season on loan at Rotherham United.

Chris returned north of the border in September 2016, where he signed for Jim McIntyre’s Ross County.

Manager Lee McCulloch said: ''I'm delighted that Chris has signed for Kilmarnock. Chris had many options available to him so I'm thrilled that he will be a Kilmarnock player for the upcoming season. He's a great signing for the fans and the dressing room. Chris has had a great career to date and has payed at the highest level. With his experience, Chris can pass this on to the youngsters coming through.''
