Nowadays in football it is very rare for a player to commit himself to a club for a substantial period of time.

Kilmarnock Football Club and The Testimonial Committee are therefore delighted to reward Garry Hay with a testimonial year.

A brief history on Garry's career so far…….

• Born 7^th September 1977 in Irvine, Ayrshire
• Signed "s" Form whilst attending James Hamilton Academy and playing for Crosshouse Boys Club in August 1992 by Manager Tommy Burns
• Signed full time professionally for Kilmarnock FC on 18^th August 1995 by Manager Alex Totten
• First team debut against Rangers at Ibrox on 31^st July 1999 at left back
• First team home debut the following week against Aberdeen at home with Kilmarnock winning 2-0 and Garry scoring both goals and can claim to be the first goal scorer on the new Rugby Park surface on completion of new undersoil heating system
• Garry is a product of Kilmarnock's youth system and can play either at left back or left midfield
• Nicknamed "Hooky" Garry also received international recognition having been capped in a Scotland "B" International against Poland at his home ground Rugby Park in 2005
• As at October 2009 he is currently 28^th in the list of player league appearances for Kilmarnock with over 300 appearances to date
